COTILLION AUSTIN-STYLE

The mission of Cotillion Austin-Style is to provide training in basic etiquette, communication skills, and social dance to boys and girls 10-13 years of age. With our 30+ years of experience in dance education and a continuing emphasis on appropriate behavior and good manners, the Shirley McPhail School of Dance is a natural fit for a Cotillion program.

		NOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2010 COTILLION-AUSTIN STYLE For any questions, please contact the Mesa Studio 345-1284 or judymcphail@austin.rr.com. Classes meet Sunday afternoons, 4:00 0 5:30 pm at our Mesa Dance Studio location, 8018 Mesa Drive, Austin, Texas 78731. Tuition: $ 200 Tuition for SMSD Students: $175 (See Class Schedule with dates below) (A $10 discount may be taken whenever a boy and a girl sign up together, making the amount due $190.00 per person for non-SMSD students or $165 per person for SMSD students.) Teaching methods include constant changing of dance partners.
	Cotillion Austin-Style Fall 2009 Class Celebrates with Graduation Party Forty-eight students representing 17 Austin schools completed the fall semester with a graduation party celebration on Sunday, November 22. Awards were given for best handshake, best eye-to-eye contact, best cha-cha, and best volunteer. Jill Milstead and Sam Truesdale were elected by their classmates as the Queen and King of Cotillion and led the group in a spotlight twist dance. The Spring 2010 Class is currently forming. Why Should My Child Attend "Cotillion Austin-Style"?

In the midst of our busy lives, only the rare household makes time to encourage social etiquette. And only an unusual child is willing to accept social etiquette at home while the rest of the world is so casual.

Cotillion is social education. The primary goals are to teach the children self-respect, respect for others, and self-confidence. The program hones communication skills and teaches children to be comfortable in all types of social settings.
