News from the Directors
Troupe rehearsals are going great! We are extremely PROUD of our troupe dancers and the effort given at rehearsals. Only 4 weeks into rehearsal and every group is well into, if not completed, two dances. This means our spring show will be even more polished!!!! GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!! KEEP IT GOING!!!!

Sat, Feb 25th- FATHER/DAUGHTER DANCE (troupe will perform at this) &Troupe Prep and Reg Troupe Rehearsal**

Sat, Mar 10th - Possible Regular Troupe Rehearsal
Mon, Mar 12th-17th- SPRING BREAK (no classes or rehearsals)
Sat, Mar 24th - Troupe Prep & Reg Troupe Rehearsal & Final Disney flight money DUE
Frid, Mar 30th - Torros Game - times TBA
Sat, Mar 31st - GNO and Troupe Prep & Reg Troupe Rehearsal
** Feb 11th & 25th - Emeralds will rehearse from 12-2:30

Friendly Reminders:

• Check your troupe calendar for upcoming rehearsals & events
• Always come to practice wearing black leotard, tights, jazz shorts or skirt. Keep all shoes with you.
• Garnets (preps) please bring a backpack to your remaining rehearsals
• Sapphires please bring a dress for "Brand New You" dance
• Email or text a director when absent or sick
• BIG SISTERS: please check up on your little sisters and write them a quick note.

We're a performing team, but first we're a family of dancers! Let's support one another and really positively help anyone that might be falling behind! TATD Dance Convention

We had an amazing time at TATD! Lots of dancing, fun, and hard work! Well it paid off because we had a RUNNER Up and Scholarship Winners!!!! This is a really big deal and an important honor. There were only 4 scholarships awarded in the Senior room and SMSD received 2 of them! So please congratulate the following people whenever you see them!

XLR8 DANCE WORKSHOP
We’re so proud of our Senior level and up dancers for attending our own workshop! You really helped to make it a success! We’re looking forward to many more summers of XLR8!!!!! Our appreciation goes out to the teachers that made this a great experience – Rhonda Miller, Rocker & Danny, Greg Easley, Tasha Lawson, Dani Straus, and Tanci Soulier.
