The last week of dance class is May 18-23. There are no classes during dress rehearsal/recital week.

Parent Observation + Costume Pick Up Week Sat. May 9-Fri. May 15
One adult must attend last 20 minutes of dancer’s class to receive important recital info.
Eligible dancers will receive their 5 + years dance awards. Dancers will receive their costume and tights (combo dancers) to take home.
All accounts must be paid in full to receive costumes.
Your recital fee covers everything you need! There’s no need to worry about purchasing tickets separately, just BRING AS MANY GUESTS AS YOU'D LIKE to enjoy the performances!
Dance Awards
Due by Wed. 4/15
Students who have danced at SMSD for 5 or more years are eligible to receive special recognition! Dancers must have started taking class at SMSD Fall 2021 or earlier.
These special dancers will be recognized in the recital program, and they will be introduced in class during parent observation week (May 9-15).
Recital Portraits at SMSD Wed. 5/27 & Thurs. 5/28
You must book your time slot online in advance. Time slots fill quickly, so please don't wait until the last minute to book! Each time slot has limited availability and will close once full- no additional slots will be added.
All orders must be placed on portrait day. You will be able to view your individual portraits directly after your session. Please come prepared and have all decision makers present.
Bring your favorite 1-3 outfits. No more than 3 outfits per child.
Please be patient if you are being photographed in multiple outfits (modifying or changing the shoes is considered another outfit).
If you have a sibling, we only photograph them together in one outfit of your choice.
NO sitting fee to take pictures
Multiple poses to choose from (5-7 poses per outfit)
Orders mailed directly to you within 3 weeks. Digital images e-mailed within 2 weeks
Packages starting at $25 with options for prints, products, and digital images
Portraits are only taken on May 27 & 28 (no makeup days). If you cannot attend, we look forward to seeing you next year.

Recital T-Shirt Orders Due 4/26
Show your support and order your recital shirts today! Great for dancers, family & friends! Shirts are not included in this year’s recital fee like past years. If your dancer would like one you MUST ORDER SEPARATELY. The shirt is all cotton Gildan Heavyweight T-Shirt in "lime". All shirts will be sent home during costume pick up week (5/9-5/15).
