SMSDance Troupe + Company is a performance and competition team made up of SMSD dancers ages 8 through 18. Under the direction of Teresa Pearce and Connor Neill, Troupe SMSDance offers dancers a platform to showcase their talents at various events year-round. Additionally, Troupe performs their own captivating winter and spring shows, and they are featured performers in the SMSD end of year recital. Joining Troupe presents an excellent chance to be part of a team and participate in performances throughout the year!

Requirements:

• Dance experience in ballet, tap, and jazz (completed BTJ I or higher)

• Take a minimum of 12 hours of dance at SMSD during the summer

• Be enrolled in weekly ballet, tap, and jazz classes during the dance year (additional optional classes in hip hop, lyrical, ballet, and pointe)

• Attend Saturday rehearsals during the dance year

• Total of 2.5-6 hours of dance per week (minimum) depending on team placement
